Dear Brooks Community,
My father, Orrin Wightman, received his Brooks diploma in 1958, as I did in 1984 and my daughters, Lilly and Liza, did in 2011 and 2014 respectively. At its core, the school’s intrinsic values have remained the same during our family’s 50-plus years as Brooksians, while other elements — primarily physical ones — have changed.
Since John Packard began his role as head of school in 2008, I have worked with him and the board of trustees to prioritize and undertake key initiatives that will benefit Brooks for the long term. During John’s tenure, we have done careful research and in-depth feasibility studies of campus and programmatic needs, all of which have solidified our best next steps during this crucial point in our history.
Thus, I am pleased to formally announce The Campaign for Brooks. This capital campaign is a historic effort to provide the best possible future for our school and its students.
In the coming weeks and months, we look forward to communicating about this campaign in the hope that you will join us in this effort. Please bookmark this site so that you can keep up to date on the latest campaign news and events. Now is the time for us to come together in support of our school.
